Stark County non-profit finding new ways to mentor students during COVID-19 pandemic

MASSILLON, Ohio — The COVID-19 pandemic has been especially tough on students – disrupting their school schedules and separating them from their friends and teachers.

Ambassador of Golf Fundraiser Strengthens Northeast Ohio Nonprofits

The Legacy Project of Stark is one of several nonprofits that was able to recently complete a project with proceeds awarded from funds raised at the Ambassador of Golf. The Legacy Project mentors Stark County students and provides programming at its more than 100-year-old church building. This spring, the Legacy Project installed all new windows and doors to make its building in Massillon more energy efficient. 

Moving forward: $620K upgrade effort ongoing for Legacy Project of Stark in Massillon

MASSILLON – The Legacy Project of Stark has called Massillon home for the past few years and is progressing with a major building redo on the city’s southwest side, aiming to better assist area youths.

This year’s DeliverThat charity golf outing features a local organization, The Legacy Project of Stark. Beginning in 2015, The Legacy Project of Stark is a mentorship program for youth.
